The Cincinnati location of Aster Springs eating disorder treatment center offers varying levels of outpatient programs. They have a partial hospitalization program (PHP) that operates as a perfect step down from hospitalization or a residential treatment program. The PHP is an intensive program that operates 5 days a week for 6 hours per day. The intensive outpatient program (IOP) operates 3-5 days a week for 3 hours per day. This program is available in the evening as well as the daytime. The components of these programs include individual, family and group therapy, nutrition counseling and meal support. The members of the PHP receive additional medical and psychiatric services. The clinicians at Aster Springs provide customizable treatment to meet each client’s needs and goals. Treatment often includes psychotherapy groups, acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), exposure and response prevention (ERP) and emotion-focused family therapy (EFFT). Each patient also gets to benefit from a collaborative approach to treatment that uses a multidisciplinary team of professionals who work together to create a treatment plan. Receiving guidance and advice from medical, nutritional, psychological and psychiatric professionals can help create an individualized treatment plan that allows clients to succeed.
