Divine Promises believes that fellowship and acts of service are what lead to success in long-term recovery. They hold several annual fellowship events including recovery marches, toy drives, 12-Step activities, and holiday gatherings. In addition to participating in neighborhood activities, the home does a lot of things collectively to foster positive relationships with the women who live there. To bring the group together, weekly meetings are held along with family-style dinners, birthday parties, and holiday gatherings.
Along with fellowship and relationship strengthening, Divine Promises sober living aims to create a structured environment that provides their members with the necessary tools to live an independent and sober life. This means that there are certain rules or expectations that are put into place. Residents are required to work a 12-step program, attending 4 meetings minimum per week as well as one meeting per week with a sponsor.
