Durant Behavioral Health (Wind Horse Counseling), located in the southwest corner of the Choctaw Nation, offers mental health services for individuals, families, and couples. The center supports challenges such as substance use, anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship concerns. Native Americans from any federally recognized tribe—holding a CDIB card, tribal membership card, or letter of descendancy—are eligible and typically pay no out-of-pocket fees. Services include therapy for all ages, crisis support, and virtual appointments.
The center's approach includes therapies such as play therapy for children with special needs, peer support for veterans, and case management services. These therapies help clients build coping skills, strengthen relationships, and improve overall well-being.
