For numerous decades, Programs for Change have been dedicated to serving the residents of Amery, Wisconsin, and its neighboring communities. HealthPartners treat addiction, anxiety, depression, and eating disorders. Treatment starts off with an initial assessment and individual counseling sessions guided by a counselor. The assessments aid in creating tailored treatment recommendations that work for the client. HealthPartners Programs for Change is the only intensive outpatient primary treatment service in the region, and known for providing compassionate care and evidence-based treatment.
Operated by Westfield Hospital Specialty Clinic, their outpatient program provides individual counseling, medication management, education, and support. Multiple weekly sessions are aimed at assisting individuals in understanding the effects of their substance use on their lives and facilitating positive changes. A crucial component of the program is the weekly group sessions, which employ diverse techniques and approaches. They also offer a weekly lecture series, open to both participants and their family members. This series covers a range of topics, such as family dynamics, strategies for preventing relapse, the 12-Steps program, cognitive skills, communication techniques, and the integration of spirituality into life.
Additionally, the outpatient program features two multi-family group sessions, where individuals and their family members collaborate on their recovery journey. These sessions provide a platform for exploring recovery dynamics as a collective unit, fostering understanding, support, and growth.
