In their residential program, clients receive 24/7 supervision and a daily routine combining therapies, life skills training, mindfulness, and wellness practices. For clients coping with substance use, Joyful Minds offer medically supervised detox along with their other services. Joyful Mind's trauma-informed therapies include eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR) and cognitive processing therapy (CPT) to help veterans work through trauma. As substance use disorders continue to rise among veterans, the center combines medication-assisted treatment with individual counseling and group therapy to address addiction alongside co-occurring concerns..
