Their Meadowbrook and Rock Crest locations provide around-the-clock support and 3 meals daily. Length of stay in sober living varies between 30-90 days, and families can visit on Saturdays and Sundays. In addition to treating addictions, Pocono Mountain treats co-occurring depression, anxiety, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), physical and sexual trauma, bipolar disorder, attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), and schizophrenia. They utilize individual, group, and family therapy. Treatment is a 12-Step-based program. Pocono Mountain strives to provide clients with a holistic recovery, so they have art therapy, music therapy, mindfulness therapy, meditation, role playing, and yoga. Psychoeducational groups and workshops focus on topics such as stress and anger management, developing a support network, and learning how to refuse offers to use alcohol and drugs. Pocono Mountain’s residential and sober living homes offer a comfortable place to focus on recovery. Bedrooms can be shared or private, and there is in-house laundry. All homes have access to green outdoor space and are surrounded by woodlands. Electronics are not permitted.
