Nestled amongst the trees on the shores of Lake Luxembourg, Pyramid Langhorne Detox and Residential offers treatment for men and women with substance use and co-occurring mental health concerns. With a 7-bed men’s detox unit, 40-bed and 12-bed men’s residential units, and a 14-bed women’s unit, Pyramid strives to provide a comfortable and peaceful environment for recovery. Pyramid Healthcare seeks to make treatment affordable, accepting most private insurance and Medicaid. Pyramid Healthcare offers medication-assisted treatment (MAT), including collaborating with community partners to provide off-side methadone maintenance. Psychiatrists prescribe and manage medications for co-occurring mental health conditions. Pyramid clients engage in group therapy, including life skills, criminality, anger management, trauma, and grief and loss groups. The women’s program is trauma-focused, implementing TREM (trauma recovery empowerment model). Family members can participate in support groups and family therapy with their loved ones. Treatment incorporates 12-step groups including Celebrate Recovery as well as non-12 step groups like DHARMA Recovery and SMART Recovery. Pyramid offers trauma-informed yoga, art therapy, drumming, and creative writing as part of a holistic treatment model. Located about 25 miles northeast of Philadelphia near the New Jersey border, Pyramid offers services to residents throughout the Philadelphia and Trenton area. Pyramid Langhorne offers free door to door transportation for clients living in the area.
