Surrounded by 60 acres of California wilderness, Rancho Milagro Recovery offers personalized addiction and mental health care. They offer detox, inpatient, and specialized co-occurring disorder treatment. Accredited by The Joint Commission, Rancho Milagro’s mission is to help each client find their path towards recovery, which is why they provide a variety of interactive therapies. This includes one-on-one therapy sessions, 12-Step approach courses, and family sessions to involve loved ones on this journey towards health. Clients also enjoy activities in the sunny California desert like hiking and yoga. Rancho Milagro accepts many forms of private insurance to help cover the burden of cost. A week at Rancho Milagro involves starting off the day with meditation and mindfulness practices. Then, clients participate in evidence-based, psychoeducational courses, covering topics like the 12 Steps and self-esteem, or therapeutic activities like equine or music therapy. A break in the day for lunch also includes more meditation. The afternoons cover more material, such as relapse prevention and stress management. Finally, the evening ends with some free time to use the state-of-the-art facilities and some more group work. These facilities include a rescue animal farm with dogs, pigs, and horses. Rancho Milagro specializes in animal therapy and is dedicated to helping animals in need—this process and the animals themselves then helps clients heal and overcome their issues.
