This residential treatment center, previously known as Shaunty Healing Center, provides a full continuum of care for patients with severe mental health diagnoses. Their programs begin with a thorough evaluation and stabilization which ensures that the patient receives the correct length and type of treatment needed for their condition. This first step includes medication management, accurate diagnosis, treatment plan creation and opportunities to establish therapeutic rapport between patient and clinician. The next phase of the program is the intensive treatment program. During this phase, patients begin to repair damage from psychological wounds which may include trauma, grief, and drug or alcohol recovery. The team of qualified clinicians use a psycho-dynamic approach in the healing process. The next phase of healing is transitional living where patients continue individual therapy and medication while living off-site in a facility owned by Shaunty Healing, to promote independence. This phase also includes job searching and mentoring of newcomers. The Monarch Community is a private pay treatment center, and they do not accept insurance.
The Monarch Community partners with Houston Medical to provide experienced clinical services.
This treatment center doubles as a fully functioning farm. This farming program can take 6 men or women to work on the farm throughout their recovery journey at Monarch. Patients who work on the farm will help take care of birds, horses and other animals. They also learn to garden.
