Destinations for Teens Ladrillo house is an adolescents, ages 12 to 17, treatment center that helps teens struggling with addiction and co-occurring disorders. Their program is 45+ days. Teens will attend AA, NA, and other meetings to help determine the causes and triggers of each of their addictions. This helps teens develop coping methods to combat cravings and redirect them to a healthy alternative. Destinations for Teens treatment approach involves cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and an emphasis on coping skills, while also participating in creative therapies that allow them to express themselves in a caring, nurturing environment. Outdoor activities, physical fitness, body movements, and yoga will also get the teens moving, so he or she can begin to understand the positive effects of exercise on mental health. During orientation, parents will meet the entire treatment team. It’s important to Destinations for Teens that loved ones are involved in the recovery process, so they offer family therapy sessions and education classes. The Ladrillo house location provides luxury accommodations and amenities to create a serene environment for healing. They have chef-prepared meals, an outdoor pool and patio area, and a basketball court. Ladrillo house additionally offers on-site academic support and one-on-one supervision. They have virtual classrooms, GED and college prep, life and vocational skills training, and a work center. When first arriving, the teens receive a psychosocial and psychiatric evaluation. They are then given their customized treatment plan, and finally, after the process is finished and the teen is ready to reenter a healthy life, they have an aftercare plan.
