Free by the Sea treats addiction and co-occurring mental health conditions with an individualized and evidence-based approach. They provide a full continuum of care, with residential treatment, day treatment (or partial hospitalization), intensive outpatient, general outpatient, and aftercare. Free by the Sea treats men, women, young adults, and seniors with addiction and co-occurring mental health concerns. Clients receive various evidence-based and holistic therapies in group, 1:1, and family settings. Free by the Sea provides an initial evaluation to determine clients’ medical needs/backgrounds, their specific struggles with addiction, and to determine any co-occurring mental health conditions. An individualized treatment plan meets each client’s unique needs and treatment goals. Free by the Sea’s experienced staff includes a psychiatrist and medical doctor, licensed mental health counselors, addiction counselors, substance use disorder professionals, and a life coach/yoga instructor/sound healer. Free by the Sea uses various evidence-based therapies to address the underlying conditions behind addiction, like depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorder. Their therapies include cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), motivational interviewing techniques, contingency management, and more. Loved ones can join Free by the Sea’s monthly family weekend for family counseling, and education on addiction. Clients can also enjoy holistic therapies like yoga, sound healing, and exercise, along with beach activities like swimming, outdoor group meetings, and barbecues. Free by the Sea’s levels of care include residential treatment, day treatment, intensive outpatient, general outpatient, and aftercare support. In residential treatment, clients live onsite and receive nutritious meals, 24/7 monitoring, and peer support. In day treatment, clients can live at home or in sober living and come to treatment 5+ times a week, 5-8 hours daily. In intensive outpatient, clients come to treatment 3+ times a week for 3-4 hours daily. Free by the Sea’s 5-acre campus is steps away from the beach and offers a tranquil environment for healing and recovery.
