The House of Freedom provides a full continuum of care including medical and non-medical detox, short and long-term residential care, and outpatient services. The residential programs can last from 30 days to 15 months. During all programs, clients will have the opportunity to engage in cognitive behavior therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing (MI), relapse prevention, group therapy, educational and professional development, and recreational therapy. Recreational therapy is essential at the House of freedom. This allows clients to create new positive associations that did not exist before. Recreational therapies can include sauna baths, softball games, physical fitness, music classes, boat rides, equine therapy, and restaurant outings.
The House of freedom has 2 locations. The Puerto Rico location provides comfortable accommodations in a tropical setting. The House of Freedom embraces Christian values and promotes integrity to those they serve.
