About Pyramid Allentown Outpatient: Programs, Staff & Mission
Pyramid offers day treatment, meeting 5-6 hours per day, an intensive outpatient program (IOP), meeting 3-4 hours per day, 3 days per week, and traditional outpatient treatment for both substance use and primary mental health treatment, meeting about 4 hours per week. Traditional outpatient and IOP are also available for adolescents ages 12-17. Pyramid also offers level of care assessments as well as drug and alcohol assessments, with walk-in services available Monday-Thursday from 8 AM - 4 PM.
Pyramid Allentown Outpatient offers individual therapy using cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and motivational interviewing (MI) as well as peer support from others who have gone through addiction. Clients engage in group therapy specific to their conditions, learning coping and relapse-prevention strategies, sharing their experience with others and learning from others in similar circumstances. Pyramid Allentown offers specialized treatment for adolescents which includes groups tailored to the needs of teens. Clients and their loved ones participate in family or couples counseling aimed at increasing understanding and communication. Pyramid also offers educational presentations and workshops to help the community learn more about addiction and mental health.
