Youth Villages - Inner Harbour Campus

Youth Villages - Inner Harbour Campus is a residential facility for boys and girls ages 6-17 who struggle with serious mental health and behavioral problems. The team specializes in treating self-harming behaviors and suicidal thoughts, problematic sexual behaviors, extreme aggression, psychotic symptoms, and co-occurring disorders. The facility also provides a special treatment track for substance use disorders. Their intensive treatment program provides close supervision and structure for an integrated care approach.
The Inner Harbour Campus adopts a trauma-informed approach to understand and address the children's behaviors with compassion and empathy. Their team uses a variety of treatment methods for a well-rounded approach, including individual and group therapy, family counseling, dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and recreation therapy. Children live with 10-12 peers of similar gender, age, and diagnosis, spending their days together.
The Inner Harbour Campus is situated on a 1,200 acre wooded area just outside of Atlanta, creating a serene setting for the treatment and recovery of at-risk youth. A state-accredited school is located on campus, providing individualized instruction, small class sizes, speech and language therapy, and special education for those in need. The childrens’ learning is enriched by art therapy, equine therapy, and pet therapy. Other amenities include trails for hiking, a ropes course, access to canoes, and yoga. The facility is dedicated to providing young boys and girls with a range of therapeutic activities while also ensuring they have the chance to simply enjoy being kids.
