Berkshire Mountain Health aims to free clients from the grips of substance use disorders in a safe and supportive environment. Located in the Berkshire Mountains of western Massachusetts, the 16-bed facility offers medically supervised detox and a residential program for clients who require ongoing care. With a focus on personalized care, the center offers an intimate healing space for those seeking recovery. Berkshire Mountain Health understands the risk of relapse and helps clients identify environmental, social, and personal triggers. Through individual therapy, group therapy, and family therapy sessions, clients can gain a sense of resilience. Some of their therapeutic modalities include eye movement therapy (EMDR) for trauma, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), hypnotherapy, and life coaching. This integrated approach helps clients to better understand the roots of their addictions and move forward with newfound confidence. Each client enjoys a shared bedroom featuring an en suite bathroom, offering the perfect balance of community connection and personal comfort through semi-private accommodations. The community room offers comfortable lounge chairs, a TV, games, and a variety of snacks. The serene surroundings of the Berkshire Mountains provide a healing landscape that promotes restoration, with ample wildlife to take in right on site. Berkshire Mountain Health’s aftercare program consists of a highly structured discharge plan to support clients long term. Their care team works closely with clients to determine the level of care they need, with some people moving on to a day treatment program and others continuing with 12-Step meetings.
