They treat individuals with a primary diagnosis of a mental health or opioid use disorder and can treat co-occurring disorders of other substances. Their inpatient programming is tailored to provide age-specific care from teens to older adults, and their day treatment and intensive outpatient programs are designed for adults.
East Tennessee Behavioral Health creates individualized treatment plans for each client after conducting a thorough assessment. They combine medication with proven therapies like cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, and motivational enhancement therapy in 1-on-1, family, and group therapy settings. These therapies are used to empower clients to better understand their behaviors, develop healthy coping strategies, and build the skills needed to support long-term recovery and emotional wellness.
Their 90-bed inpatient facility offers modern, comfortable rooms with intentionally designed spaces to promote calm and healing. Each environment—from therapy rooms to quiet corners—is tailored to support emotional regulation and mental clarity. In between therapy sessions, patients can relax or reflect in calming outdoor courtyard areas. They can also exercise or engage in a variety of recreational activities in their large, indoor gymnasium, which is designed for movement and social connection.
East Tennessee Behavioral Health works closely with each patient to plan their next steps after treatment, ensuring long-term success. Discharge planning begins at the start of programming and is continually adjusted to reflect each person’s progress and needs. Customized aftercare plans may include referrals to lower levels of care and resources aligned with personal goals, helping clients maintain and build on the progress they made.
