The Polaris Teen Center aims to provide adolescents with a safe haven for recovery. They believe that teen mental health issues can be caused by a variety of factors, like trauma, biological predisposition, and environmental ones at home. The center has clinically trained staff who can treat teens struggling with depression, bipolar, anxiety and other mood disorders. They also treat destructive behaviors such as self-harm, substance abuse and eating disorders. Polaris Teen Center believes family involvement is important to effectively recovering. Polaris Teen Center uses a Didactic and Evidence-Based approach; they employ Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Post Induction Therapy, Family System Therapy, and Psychoeducational Group Therapy.
