Royal Life Center blends 12-Step elements, CBT, DBT, motivational enhancement therapy (MET), life skills, and relapses prevention along with a variety of holistic options such as art therapy, music therapy, writing, yoga, and meditation. Unique to Royal Life Center at the Haven, they include Dr. Phil’s Path to Recovery, an evidence-based, virtual reality program developed by Dr. Phil McGraw and his son. Dr. Phil’s Path to Recovery consists of 29 exercises, each with 2 components: a virtual “sit down” with Dr. Phil and a comprehensive workbook meant to be completed with the VR component.
