NexStep Teen Academy

Located in Scottsdale, Arizona, this center helps teens ages 12–17 who are struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, substance use, ADHD, self-harm, and other mental or behavioral health challenges. They offer multiple levels of care including partial hospitalization (PHP), intensive outpatient (IOP), and outpatient programs with daily therapy, academic support, and skill-building in a safe, structured, and school-like environment. The center uses proven therapies like cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), along with art therapy, mindfulness, and family counseling to treat the whole teen. Each teen gets a custom treatment plan with 1-on-1 therapy, group sessions, and family involvement. This mix of therapeutic support helps teens build coping skills, emotional strength, and confidence in a safe, healing space. The center feels welcoming with cozy therapy rooms, a group kitchen, and a game room to relax in. Teens spend time in both shared and personal spaces that support learning and healing. On-site, they enjoy meals, receive academic help, and take part in fun, skill-building activities designed to support social growth and personal success.
