The Mental Health Center of San Diego offers inpatient, day treatment, intensive outpatient (IOP), and outpatient programs for individuals with a wide array of mental health concerns, including autism spectrum disorder, ADD/ADHD, anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, trauma, PTSD, and substance use disorder. Their holistic programs blend evidence-based therapies such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), with experiential therapies, yoga, art therapy, sound healing, and music therapy as well as medication management.
At the Mental Health Center of San Diego, treatment approaches vary based on specific mental health concerns and individual needs. Tracks based on diagnosis offer both individual therapy designed to treat individuals with that diagnosis and support from peers who face similar challenges in a group therapy setting. Clients can also participate in support groups for men, women, or individuals in the LGBTQ+ community. The Mental Health Center of San Diego accepts most major private insurance and is also willing to work with those who do not have insurance, with fees on a sliding scale.
